Rent the Long Arm
Do your own quilting on our Long Arm quilter!
Set up your Long Arm certification appointment today!
After completion of your certification, you can rent our Long Arm machine to finish your beautiful quilts!
Your first lesson will cover how to thread the machine, set up quilt areas, and use pantographs.
This is a basic certification only; we are happy to schedule lessons at a later date if you fall in love with quilting and wish to learn free motion or other more advanced techniques.
Thread is available for rental ($8 per quilt), or for purchase. If you wish to purchase thread, we strongly recommend two cones of the machine quilting thread as it takes one for bobbin winding and one for quilting.
Once you have completed the certification process, you can rent our quilter for $16 per hour by calling 405-853-6801 and checking availability.
Your certification will remain active for six months past your most recent long arm use. If it has been more than six months, we ask that you complete a refresher lesson. The cost is $25 for a one hour one-on-one at the beginning of your quilt rental.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call at least 24 hours in advance.
As always, if you decide to purchase a Pfaff power Quilter at any point, we will gladly refund your $100 certification fee. You will also then be entitled to unlimited one-on-one attention from our knowledgeable staff.
For your certification appointment, please keep the following in mind:
Certification takes two hours. After two hours, if your quilt is not finished, you will be charged $16 per hour for quilter rental.
We strongly recommend a twin-sized quilt or smaller for your certification.
Prior to your certification, it is helpful if you can open up the batting you intend to use and either fluff it in the dryer (15 minutes on the lowest setting) or open it up on a large surface such as a bed or couch to help the wrinkles fall out.
Batting and backing must be 8” larger in width and length than your quilt top.
We ask that you please bring your own scissors.
